How many CEU Credits do I need to maintain licensure in Florida?
- Acupuncturists licensed in Florida must complete 30 Continuing Education credits every two years.
When is the next renewal deadline?
- The next renewal deadline is February 28th, 2012, and all CEU credits must be earned within the two years your license is being renewed.
What Courses must I take?
- Florida has four required courses (12 credits) that you must complete as part of the 30 hours. The remaining credits may be of your own choosing.

Do I have to take the HIV/Aids Course?
- Only practitioners renewing for the first time must take the HIV/Aids Course, which is a 3 Credit course.
I received my license during a renewal period. What course must I take?
- If you have received your initial license within the renewal period it is not necessary to take 30 hours, however, you must take HIV/Aids Review and Medical Errors for your first renewal.
I am a licensed practitioner seeking licensure in Florida for the first time. What are the requirements?
- Out of state practitioners seeking Florida licensure, are required to take the Florida Laws and Rules course (20 hours). Additionally, you may require further coursework. You should contact Shawn Canfield at the Florida Board of Acupuncture for specifics regarding your eligibility requirements.
How will I receive my credits?
- Your completed credits will be reported to the CE Broker for the Florida Board of Acupuncture and a certificate will be mailed to you.
