The concurrent Bachelor’s in Professional Health Sciences and Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine degree program is a 3,000 hour curriculum designed to provide the student with an in depth understanding of acupuncture and Oriental medicine.

The didactic curriculum is designed to educate the student in the theory and practice of acupuncture, Oriental medicine, and integrative biomedical sciences. Clinic courses and internship, under the supervision of Florida Licensed Acupuncture Physicians, provide training in interview skills, diagnosis, prescription writing, and the treatment of patients utilizing Oriental and integrative medicine principles.

The curriculum leading to the Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine at EWC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), and meets the educational requirements of the Florida Board of Acupuncture, New Mexico Board of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, California Acupuncture Board, and for NCCAOM certification.

How Long Is The Program?
The entire program of study consists of 10 terms/semesters or 5 academic years. Classes are conducted year round with three terms of 15 weeks each, per calendar year. Students who follow the recommended track can complete all ten terms in 3.4 years.
